The spaces where we live, work, shop and play have a huge impact on the way we interact within them. And working environments in particular need to serve a functional purpose. They need to inspire and motivate both the group and the individual without distraction.
WRIGLEY INNOVATION INTERIOR
It’s always nice to be asked to deliver a space for great ideas to grow, so we were truly flattered when the Wrigley team asked us to do just that and design the in-house Innovation Unit at Wrigleys HQ. The brief was to build a creative area that inspired innovation and group participation, while meeting the practical needs of day-to-day office life.
Our first challenge in creating the environment was how to divide the space, so we began by fixing the colour palette – based on the four colours from the bold arrow identity we had recently created for them.
The space becomes a journey leading everyone through from the entrance to the high-tech lab. It’s a literal walk towards innovation, which felt inspirational and fitting with their motto of ‘leading from the front’.
Each brand colour is used as the name and theme for a meeting room. Because most people find colours more memorable than numbers, it makes it easier to notify colleagues and clients about a meeting location. The entrance wall is magnetic so information can be refreshed, reflecting the needs of a team who thrive on new ideas.
And the colours are used throughout the space to zone areas and add texture and pace to walkways. The silver flooring is reflective to draw in as much natural light as possible and to reflect the bold colour scheme.
It’s fresh, future-focused and fun. A place that makes people look forward to work.
